Who are you and what do you do?
We are DDJ&, a recruitment agency for arts professionals and cultural industry. Our mission is to break with the status quo in recruitment for cultural organizations by introducing candidates outside the usual suspects. We like to see boards and teams flourish with a strong diversity of backgrounds, networks, cultures, and ideas. We help organizations recognize and tap into this unleashed potential. By doing so, we aim to contribute to a more inclusive and stronger sector as a whole.

What are you offering for the B Night?
Tucked away in the heart of Amsterdam’s inner city lies a small marvel: Our Lord in the Attic Museum: a uniquely preserved seventeenth-century house from the Dutch Golden Age. In the attic of the Museum is a Catholic house church hidden. In the seventeenth century, Amsterdam was Protestant and the city authorities thought that other believers should practice their religion at home, certainly not in public. With its historical collection, the Museum shows what freedom of religion and (in)tolerance used to mean and at that same time the Museum links the history to the present and thus tells the relevant story of (in) tolerance. Even today, this theme is still very topical in our society where people from different cultural and religious backgrounds live and work together.

During a guided tour at this special location, we will discuss the topics of (in)tolerance and inclusivity: how did people from different religious backgrounds live and work together in the past? What is the current value of tolerance and inclusivity and how does this manifest itself in daily practice in the workplace? What are our goals in terms of inclusivity in the workplace for the future?

After the tour, there is an opportunity to chat and network while enjoying drinks and bites in the Museum Café.

We hope to welcome you here during the B Night!
