KEVIN TAYEBALY
CO-FOUNDER, CHANGENOW
Hailing from a family of agricultural entrepreneurs that migrated from Asia to Africa, then to Europe, Kevin belongs to a generation of "third culture kids" who live in a world without borders.
Kevin spent the early years of his career transforming the cultural space in Mumbai, India, with his first social venture – "The Art Loft" cultural education centres – through local activities targeted towards the less privileged populations of the city.
Pumped by the tech wave at the end of the 2000s, Kevin came back to Europe and was impressed by the scalability potential of fast growing digital giants such as Groupon, which he joined in 2012.
Later in 2014-2015, during his time at INSEAD, Kevin looked back at his contrasting career experiences and started exploring a new type of business: mission-driven companies, also known as B-Corps, which combine purpose with a viable and scalable business model.
This is when the idea hit him: making environmental & social impact converge together with scalability potential. He went on to found his second mission-driven company – "Village Map", an e-commerce platform dedicated to supporting local independent retailers in large cities – for which he won the BCG Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016.
In 2017 he co-founded ChangeNOW to contribute to the rise of a new, virtuous & responsible business culture across the world.
