Maria Paola Chiesi was born in Parma (Italy) on February 28, 1968. She is the mother of three children.
Maria Paola holds a Degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacological Sciences and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Since 1995 she's worked at Chiesi Farmaceutici SpA having covered various roles, mainly in international marketing and strategic planning.
Since 2015 she has been Director of Shared Value & Sustainability, in charge of identifying goals and objectives, and defining guidelines for social responsibility activities at Corporate and Affiliates level.
The main objective of Chiesi's SV&S is to determine a positive impact on society and the environment by constantly assessing our societal performance and implementing improvement actions.
Since 2010 Maria Paola has been the Coordinator of the Chiesi Foundation, a non-profit organisation, the expression of Chiesi's corporate social responsibility, devoted to basic research and international cooperation projects in the domain of respiratory medicine and neonatology. One of the main focuses of the Foundation is to promote access to neonatal essential care in West Africa.
She is a Board Member of Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. and Valline holding, Board member of CEA Parma (Center for Environmental Ethics, Parma, Italy, a non-profit organisation that pursues environmental stewardship and sustainability) and President of the Solidarity Council of Banca di Credito Cooperativo of Parma.
Maria Paola is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) affiliated to the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is also a Coach Mentor and Supervisor.
