B Lab EU: Hi! Tell us briefly who you are and what your company does.
Misteli:We are Misteli.
We are a creative agency. Since 1994, we've had a soft spot for brands, companies, and organizations that want to make the world a little better - that aren't all about themselves. For people who take pride in fulfilling their responsibility to society - and we're equally proud that our work plays a part in this.

We provide strategy, concepts, campaigns, events, and impactful design for all our clients. We develop visual identities, we design websites and, above all, we tell stories. We can also act as a sparring partner for those who don't yet know what their story should be.

B Lab EU: Why did you decide to become a B Corp?
Misteli: Looking back at the past years, we either helped valuable organizations tell their story, or we helped companies choose a more sustainable direction. That's just what we naturally gravitate towards. We were looking for a way to solidify this focus for ourselves, and to prove it to others. Becoming B Corp is hands down the best way to do both.

B Lab EU: What does being a B Corp mean to you?
Misteli: During lunch we often have the "is that B Corp" conversation. Is taking a train more B Corp than taking the electric car? Is eating avocado B Corp? Is the sun B Corp? This kind of conversation is very much alive in our company. Being B Corp makes us feel that we're part of a bigger movement. We feel we have access to other B Corps knowledge and experience whenever we need it, and we feel a high potential of doing business together. And of course, we have fun with it.

B Lab EU: Have you seen business benefits of being a B Corp?
Misteli: Definitely! We've noticed that we attract different kinds of clients now we're B Corp. Ranging from new clients finding us in a list of Dutch B Corps, revived interest from existing clients and even organizing the 2019 B Corp Summit. Being B Corp helps us prove our story. And that pays off.

B Lab EU: What are you looking forward to most about the 2019 Summit?
Misteli: We're organizing this summit, so we love to see how these months of work all play out. It has been great working closely with B Lab, and now it's finally time to see the result. We also look forward to meeting other B Corps and hear about not only their successes but also their challenges and how they overcame those. Let's talk about what it's really like to do business as good as possible and let's learn from each other!

B Lab EU: What are your plans for the future to use your business as a force for good?
Misteli: We are planning to seek more B Corp collaboration. We've already started conversations with a couple of B Corps.

We also feel strongly about changing the event industry from the inside out, and address the possibilities to organize more sustainable events. We will collaborate with Westergas (cultural event site and Conscious Hotel ) to address this with a new event about working sustainably in November 2019. And we love to help new sustainable brands find their positioning tell their story.
